Lendvai String Trio

Founded in 2004, the Lendvai String trio is now celebrating its 5th season. As Fellows at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, the group won prestigious awards from the Kirckman Concert Society, Worshipful Company of Musicians and Park Lane Group. Later they were selected by Holland Music Sessions in 2005 for their series "New Masters On Tour" resulting in concerts across Europe including Romania, Bulgaria, Latvia, Lithuania and the Netherlands. More recently the group was chosen by Concert Promoters Network in the UK for the 08/09 season as well as the Swedish national concert organisation, Rikskonserter, for an extensive tour around Sweden together with pianist Martin Sturfält.

Since their Wigmore Hall début concert in 2006 the trio has subsequently given three further recitals there and has also performed at King's Place, the Purcell Room and the Barbican centre in London. Likewise, the trio has performed at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam numerous times as well as at Nybrokajen 11 in Stockholm, Sweden. Highlights of the current season include concerts with celebrated pianist Charles Owen in the UK, concerts at the Grachtenfestival in Amsterdam as well as a tour of northen Sweden through Gävleborgsmusiken.

Praised by the press in music magazines such as The Strad, The Times and Musical Opinion the trio is a well established and respected chamber ensemble continuing to make an impact on the international chamber music scene.
